Second Summer Outing: Filoli

For his birthday, Brian got a membership to Filoli, a mansion and garden in San Carlos (I think) built by a wealthy Irish immigrant over a century ago.  It's beautiful.  Really amazing.  Anyone who visits us and wants to make a trip, it's totally worth it. It's a huge mansion complete with ballroom, butlers pantry, extensive gardens, and embroidered tapestries.   It's like a European palace, only Bay Area style. You can learn about the history here.

It was really hot today though, so we didn't see everything.  And we only got a few pictures, only outside.  But since we're members we can go back whenever we like!
