NO HATS PLEASE!

Erin hates hats. Erin hates anything on her head.  When reading the books when she was new, they all said stroking your child's head will calm them, raise IQ points, etc.  For Erin this only agitated her, the opposite effect I was usually looking for.

So while she has many adorable hats, this is what happens when we try to put them on:

Great sequence of pics! You can feel her unease and growing discomfort as she realizes there is a hat on her head and then attempts to remove it.

Yeah, her dislike of head-related accessories saddens me at times. This sweater/hat number looks so darling - like a little doll. Oh well.

at least you've documented her discomfort for the internet viewers. that's the important part.

ps: erin, once you realize that hair has to be washed and/or fixed occasionally, you'll learn to love the headwear.

When a baby figures out how to remove hats that annoy her, it is a clear indication that she doesn't need any more IQ points.

Perhaps you can try the outfit on Steve the cat?

Mason has hated having his back rubbed since he was a baby. It breaks my heart, it's such a natural impulse when soothing or comforting and he would literally pull his body out from under my hand like a cat will do to avoid being petted. Kids. Geez.

Doesn't she know yet that fashion and cuteness requires being uncomfortable?

Considering how long her head got stuck during labor, she's probably still got "issues."
