Easter Part II

The Millers came for a visit over Spring Break. There was a trip to the zoo. Millers liked the orangutans. Erin liked the people. She's existential like that.
Grammy Marilyn brought several hats she made for Erin. She made several more while she was here. Grammy is very industrious and crafty. It was a good thing Erin's head was warm because it snowed two days during the visit. (Grammy also ended up with a cold. Erin sure knows how to pass along germs!)

Erin had a great time showing Grandpa Art her new favorite toy.

The top photo is in the running for the best picture of the years as far as I'm concerned.

She's a giver with those germs, she is. :)

Methinks I shall take Monsieur Henry to the zoo now.

Ah, the Zoo. Nearly every time we've gone for the 3 years we've been members it's either been pouring rain, snowing, or really cold. This visit was no exception. The grandparents tried to go on Wed, it was snowing. On Thursday we went but it was 35F. It snowed just after we left.

The monkeys stand for honesty,
Giraffes are insincere,
And the elephants are kindly but they're dumb.
Orangutans are skeptical
of changes in their cages,
And the zookeeper is very fond of rum.

Zebras are reactionaries,
Antelopes are missionaries,
Pigeons plot in secrecy,
And hamsters turn on frequently.
What a gas! you gotta come and see
At the zoo.
