I got a surprise in the mail today. Surprises are always wonderful, this one totally made my day!!!!

That's right, a pre-ordered copy of "Parenting: Illustrated with Crappy Pictures." by Amber Dusick.  You're totally jealous, I know.

Now I'm off to read it. I'll probably have to lock myself in the bathroom and tell the kids I need some "privacy" to actually read it.  But I know that's probably how Crappy Mamma gets her reading done too.

WW: Medal Ceremony

Busted!

I had just starting a bath for the girls when I notice Robin is being quiet. Very quiet.  I come into the kitchen and she's trying to scurry away, and is making her "I'm being sneaky" face. 

There's brown all around her mouth, and there's a wad of something brown and gooey in her mouth. 

Me: Robin, what do you have in your mouth? 

R: Nufin (mumbled through the crumbs of chocolate cake)

Me: Well, you're chewing something and you have brown all around your mouth.

R: (gulping down the last of the bite.  And by gulping down, I mean choking it down her throat. And opens her mouth to show me) See!  Nufin. 

Me: Mmmm hmmm. I see. 

Note to self: chocolate cake must be stored in a place higher than the reach of a child on top of the kitchen counter.

Old Married Couple

We had some friends over for a pre-holiday easy-peasy dinner.  Erin is best buds with her classmate, A.  After dinner the kids were watching a video while the grown ups visited some more.  Caught Erin and A zoning out on the couch:

The girls decided they needed to get a little more exercise.  So they asked if they could do Yoga.

The girls had a pre-bedtime pirate adventure. They sailed their "leaf" ship and found treasure sprinkled throughout the room.

Why we don't have any rugs/carpets in the house

4 oz of banana soy-vanilla ice cream milkshake, poured on the floor and "played" with.  Cup thrown across the room.  Preschooler happily smooshing in the puddle.  Let her have a few minutes of fun, then clean up on aisle 3.

She got ahold of my phone for about 2 minutes. Probably less.  This time, only about 40 pictures and 2 short movies.
