Robin's Latest Rash A.K.A. poor kid can't catch a break!

It started on her trunk, on the left side.  It spread to her back.  It didn't seem to bother her, but because it was spreading we took her in to her doc.

Looks like it's a reaction, somewhat rare, to the Chickenpox vaccine she received on her 15 month checkup.  It began 10 or so days after the vaccine.  Currently it's also on her arms and legs, with her scratching her trunk.

We were assured it's not contagious, and it will go away soon.  Anyone have this happen? It's been nearly 3 weeks now, so it may be here to stay for awhile.

Poor kid.  At least we have tons of cortisone cream from a few months ago.

Poor baby! Our little Ever has been having some terrible allergy/rash issues as well. We hope Robin feels better soon.

Looks very similar to my 16 month old little girls rash except mine is worse. She hasn't had any vaccines though since her 12 month check up. I have taken her to two different doctors and was told its a fungal rash and wad prescribed a cream. She's almost finished the cream but its still there and hasn't cleared up much. We are going on week 3 just about and still a horrible red rash on her right side and little spots on her stomach and legs. I am getting concerned and tired of waiting it out!! Could it be from a vaccine that she was given 4 months ago??!!

My son had his vaccine a week ago wed he started to break out in that same rash the day after now it has been 8 days with this rash and about 4 days ago he started to win a 104 temp. I have had him in and out of the doc and all they can guess is a virus? And so far your story is the closest I have seen so far. My son is 18 months old and just had his blood drawn and all they said is that his red blood cell count is really high? I don't understand what is going on with my son. And neither do the doctors really

My son just broke out in the same rash. The picture actually looks like my son baby and all! His started around the shot area and has spread to his back and stomach. The area on his legs are the worst! Talked to the 24 hour nurse from his doctor and said it was not common but apparently it is!
