Delicious Medicine

Just when I thought all the news was depressing, there's a reason to be joyful.  The one downer is that it's only 1/2 bar per week, not per meal as is normal for my diet.  Oh well. Primary article here

Terrific news! I'm hoping you can now find a study to justify my ice cream habit.

I had the same problem with red wine. If a glass a day is good, a bottle a day has to be great, right?

Stupid moderation. I just hate it so much.

Mary, there's this item about ice cream, but it's probably not what you had in mind.

so about that ice cream and breast milk thing...explain to me why it's not nice to keep a cow in a milking state but it's okay to keep a human female in such a state? Clearly, the author of the letter (who could be a male Tracy) has not used a breast milk pump. I love ice cream and everything, but if I'm pumping, it's out of love for my child and not for someone else's ice cream habit!

Now I know what to get your for Christmas. A daily subscription to chocolate.

Amy, that was nearly exactly my thought. These PETA people have no idea the time and effort that goes into pumping. Obviously subjugating women is much better than cows. Sheesh.

We had the same idea a few days ago when we bought a one pound container of dark chocolate almonds from Trader Joe's. Um, well, let's just say the plan didn't work out.
