Much like others, I love taking pictures of E while sleeping.  It's rare I attempt such a feat because as we all know, never wake a sleeping badger. 

But I couldn't resist a few naptimes ago.

Book for baby nerds

As Brian mentioned, Ms. A in Colorado attending the AACR annual meeting.  In between seminars, networking sessions and marathon poster sessions (seriously.  There's miles of posters) there is also a vendor fair featuring all the products you could ever want for your lab.  One booth was a little different.  

The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press displayed the requisite laboratory manuals and over-everyones-head science books, but there was a small section for children's books. How cool is that?  This will be way better than an "Erin's Bike" Colorado license plate as her present!

Ms. A Rocks Denver

Ms A. is currently in Denver at this year's annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research. On Sunday she gave a talk at the "Future Leaders Symposium". I don't know how to put this, but she's kind of a big deal.

Her talk was "Tgfβ Signaling, Intestinal Homeostasis and Cancer: Novel Insights Through Stochastic Gene Alterations." You can see her picture here about halfway down the page.

Erin and I have been having a really good time together, getting outside, staying up late, going for walks, and eating cookies for dinner. When the weather is beautiful this parenting thing sure is easy. Let's hope the weather holds.

Jojo!

Erin loves Jojo. Watching videos of Jojo is one of her three favorite things in the world. Here they are:

1. Drinking milk: with two hands outstretched making the ASL sign for milk: "Malk? Malk?"
2. Being outside: at the front door, pointing to the handle emphatically: "Owtiiide? Owtiiide?"
3. Seeing movies of Jojo: in front of the computer, patting the chair for me to sit down and show her videos of Jojo: "Sit? Jojo? Mo Jojo? Peeees?"

She also loves to imitate Jojo. Erin hits all of her developmental milestones thanks to Jojo.
