Belated Fathers Day

Everyone says you marry your father.  I'm glad to be able to say I believe this to be true. The father I have is a pretty awesome dad.  Brian is one fantastic father too.  Attentive, fun, cautious, patient, sensitive, joyful, and above all loving.  It's clear he takes much pleasure, enjoyment, and pride in his new (as of 8 months, 7 days) role. Erin, in turn, is enamored with her Pop.  It's an absolute joy to watch their relationship grow. It's also said that as a woman your first love is your father.  I'm so happy Erin has such a fine person to be in love with.

I love weddings! by Erin

Last week I got to go to two weddings.  First was my first cousin once removed (yes I looked that up) Lou and Aunt Katie.  I had a great time because I did not have to take a nap. And I got to kiss lots of people.

The second wedding was my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Matt's. Don't I look good with Dad?
I got to stay up very late and dance, two things I love a lot.  Also I got to eat It's It. Those are tasty.
I learned brides are beautiful, it's fun to wear lovely dresses, and parties mean no naps!

The Great Outdoors

Last week McMillerPDX went traveling.  Here is the first story:Erin got her first taste of camping at Lovers Leap, just West of South Lake Tahoe.  She had a blast.  She got to spend all day outside (well slathered with sunscreen), watch lots of rock climbing, play with Nico the Super Pup, and skip baths.  She got to stay up late and wake up early, and eat many new foods including dirt. Many thanks to the excellent planning and organization of Uncle G and Aunt D, making this a memorable first camping trip.  One of many, no doubt.

Brian Victorious

Erin has started babbling more often. Generally, our conversations sound something like this:
Ms A:  Hey, Erin!  Ma ma ma ma ma ma ma...
Erin: Da da da da da da da...
Brian: Ha!  That's right, sweetie, tell momma how it is!
Erin: ...da da da da da.
